Animated QR Code generator (GIF)
StyloQR can make animated QR Codes — a looping gradient, an animated logo from a video or GIF, or a video background — and download them as a GIF. Animation is part of Pro ($9.90, one time); test every code before you use it.
What you can animate
- Gradient flow: the colors of the code move in a loop.
- Animated logo: use a short video or GIF in the center of the code.
- Video background: a video plays behind the code. The video is lightened and the code modules stay solid dark so the code keeps its contrast.
How to make one
- Open StyloQR and enter your link on the Generate tab.
- Go to the Style tab and open the animated QR options.
- Choose an animation mode and your media, then click Download GIF.
- Scan the GIF with at least two different phones before publishing it.
Where animated codes work well
- Websites, landing pages, and email.
- Social media posts and stories.
- Screens at events, stores, or presentations.

Frequently asked questions
Is the animated QR Code part of the free plan?
No. Animated QR Codes (GIF) are part of Pro, a one-time payment of $9.90.
What can I animate?
A looping gradient, an animated logo from a video or GIF, or a video background behind the code.
Will an animated QR Code always scan?
No one can promise that. Animation and color changes can affect how well some readers scan a code, so test it on several phones before you use it.
Can I print an animated QR Code?
Print shows a still image, not the animation. Animated codes are best for screens, websites, and social media.
What file do I get?
A GIF you can download from the extension.
